Submarine cable stations need sea earths: cables running from the station out onto the seabed. At Tong Fuk we laid two earth cables and a cable junction from the beach manhole, through ducts and a landing point, out to two sea-earth positions on the seabed.
Every point, from the beach manhole to the end of each earth, was set out in HK Grid and WGS-84 coordinates. Burial depth was recorded along the route in the completion report.
